Hibiscus tea is an herbal tea made by steeping the dried flowers, consumed both hot and cold. The tea has a rather tart cranberry like flavor and color. Sweeten with sugar or honey. 

 

Steep the dried flowers in white basamic vinegar to create and Hibiscus Flower Vinegar. Try it drizzled over fresh strawberries, melons or peaches; splash over grilled asparagus or roasted beets and sprinkle with sea salt; add to diced mangoes, red onion, serrano chile and cilantro for a fresh salsa; combine with nut oil for a dressing of greens, avocado, jicama and citrus slices.
